A cell phone strap is the surest way to protect your device from hard drops and bumps. Sure, cases and screen protectors do their job, but they’re not foolproof. By wrapping a strap or lanyard around your wrist, you prevent it from falling in the first place.
There is no shortage of cellphone straps of all kinds. Here’s how to attach almost any phone strap to your case, even if it doesn’t have a corresponding hole for the loop.
How to attach the phone strap to the case
1. Remove the phone case.
2. Grab the strap and take the plain thread side.
3. Pull the thread through one of the phone case openings. I chose the speaker grill opening at the bottom of the cover.

4. Pull the sled properly so that the full length of that side is exposed to one side.

5. Spread the thread to make a circle.

6. Thread the end of the wrist strap through the thread loop you just made.

7. Pull the strap and tie it tight.
8. After tying the knot, place the phone back into the newly knotted case.
Once the strap is secured, it’s a good idea to reposition the knot every few months. Replace loops regularly to avoid permanent damage to the case.
our favorite phone strap

It’s impossible to attach a strap to the case if you don’t actually own the strap. Naturally, the device also needs a case. Depending on your Android phone, there are countless protective cases on the market. Some have designated lanyards and lanyard holes to make the job easier.
Here on Android Central, you’ll find lots of our favorite straps. My personal must-have is the CASETiFY beaded phone charm. Quite expensive for a strap, but I think it’s actually worth the price. Countless cats, dogs, and humans have put my beaded CASETiFY Phone Charm through hell and beyond, and it’s still going strong to this day.
