Smart office chairs that use sensors and artificial intelligence to detect how you sit may one day guide you to sit better.
Haiwei Dong and his colleagues at Huawei Technologie attached a grid of pressure sensors to a rotating, adjustable chair. Each sensor placed on the seat or backrest sends a different voltage depending on the pressure.
This device feeds sensor data into a so-called neural network hosted in a control unit.
