Some argue that when the Pixel Watch was released it was pretty feature rich. However, as we’ve seen with some of the best smartwatches, Google has announced features that will be available later.
Fall detection is a key feature found in the Samsung Galaxy Watch, Apple Watch, and others. So it would have been disappointing if Google hadn’t offered a similar feature on his Pixel Watch. Despite being unavailable for months, a recent update finally brought the feature to his Pixel Watch owner.
How to enable fall detection on your Pixel Watch
As you can imagine, to use this new feature, you first need to enable fall detection on your Pixel Watch. Google announced that fall detection is available, but first you need to make sure your Pixel Watch is updated to the latest version. If you’ve already updated your wearable, here’s how to enable fall detection on your Pixel Watch.
1. your pixel watchPress crown.
2. Scroll through the list of installed apps and tap personal safety.
3. Tap Fall detection.
Four. tap the toggle Enable fall detection.

5. Tap app in use Enable access to locations.
6. Tap the toggle next to Improved fall detection.

Enable drop detection on your Pixel Watch from your phone
If you don’t want to interact directly with the various menus on your Pixel Watch, you can still enable fall detection. Instead, you just need to launch Google’s his Pixel Watch app on the phone that’s connected to your Pixel Watch.
1. pixel watch app on your phone.
2. Scroll down and tap clock settings.
3. Tap safety and emergencies.

4. Tap Fall detection.
Five. valid fall detection.

better than not being late

I would have liked to see fall detection become available when the Pixel Watch actually released.
Thankfully, Google didn’t make it very difficult to enable this feature if you know where to look. The Watch will wait about 30 seconds and then ask if you’re okay.
After 30 seconds, your Pixel Watch will start vibrating and then make a “loud” sound before waiting another 60 seconds. From there, it tries to call emergency services with an “automated voice message,” so it’s important to give permission so it can share your location.

Further improvements in updates
The Pixel Watch is already a gorgeous smartwatch powered by Wear OS 3. Regular updates continue to improve the overall experience.
