Thankfully, Samsung engineers thought the same way and created MultiControl. It’s an easy way to seamlessly use your mouse and keyboard on your phone and PC at the same time.
But there are pitfalls.You need a good Samsung smartphone to use this feature (opens in new tab) and Samsung Galaxy laptops (opens in new tab) Supports multi-control. This tutorial uses the Galaxy Z Fold 4. (opens in new tab)Galaxy S23 Ultra, and Galaxy Book 3 Ultra laptops.
How to set up multi-control on Samsung Galaxy devices
For this tutorial, we’ll start with the Galaxy Book. Make sure it is powered on and logged into Windows, then follow these steps:
1.) Click Galaxy Book Experience Taskbar icon. If you previously deleted this shortcut, search for Galaxy Book Experience in your Start menu.
2.) Scroll down and click the labeled button. Get more out of your tablet.
3.) Choice Open It’s next to the multi-control section.

Next, make sure your Galaxy phones are turned on and you’re signed in to your Samsung account on both phones. and your laptop. You need to do this because Samsung automatically populates Multi Control with supported devices registered to your Samsung account.
With the Multi Control app open on your Galaxy Book, follow these steps to enable Multi Control on your device.

How to arrange virtual monitors in Multi Control
By default, your phone’s virtual screen is “placed” to the right of your existing monitor settings. This allows you to move your mouse over your phone as if it were another monitor, allowing you to control your phone quickly and easily. If you want to position your screen somewhere else (perhaps to the left or bottom of your monitor), position it like this:
1.) Open samsung settings appYou can find it in the taskbar by searching for Samsung settings in the start menu or by following the instructions above.
2.) Click connected device in the list.
3.) Scroll down to Multi control section.
4.) You will see the monitor placement labeled for each device. click and drag labeled M. Move it to where you want it placed.
For example, if you want your mouse to move to the right side of your display, place the M display to the right side of your monitor like this:
How to use Multi-Control on Samsung Galaxy devices
Once you’ve set up the link between your PC and phone and arranged the virtual monitors to your liking, using your keyboard and mouse simultaneously on your PC and phone is as easy as moving your mouse between monitors.
To place the mouse on the phone, drag it to the area configured above. Place the phone on the right side of the monitor and move the mouse to the right side of the monitor and the cursor will automatically appear on the phone display. You can then use your mouse and cursor to click and manipulate anything on the display.
To type on your phone, move your mouse cursor over your phone, click the area you want to type, such as a text message box or social media app, and start typing on your keyboard.
Additionally, when Multi-Control is enabled, the phone and PC share the clipboard. Use keyboard commands for copy and paste to quickly transfer text between your PC and your phone or tablet. For reference, here are some common key combinations to use on your keyboard.
- To copy: Hold Control and press C
- To cut: Hold Control and press X
- To paste, press Ctrl+V.
