Stuffcool is India’s premier homemade charging accessory brand with an extensive product portfolio that includes wall chargers, wireless chargers, eco-friendly cables, power banks and general accessories. I use his 100W Centurion 4-port charger from the brand to charge all my phones and have tried several GaN chargers including the 25W Flow and the tiny 20W Neutron.
The brand’s latest offering is Superpower, a 20,000mAh power bank up to 85W. Nowadays you can find power banks up to 100W in India but they are either made by unknown brands with no proven track record or they are very expensive. Excited to try it. I don’t travel much these days, so I don’t need a power bank, but if I need to charge my device while I’m using it, it’s usually nice to have a few around the house. With options, it only reached 50W, but it was enough for my needs.
I also have Shargeek’s insane 20,000mAh see-through Storm power bank. It has a built-in power meter and goes up to 100W. This is mainly used for devices that need a little more power. Considering that the Shargeek power bank is several times more expensive than any other power bank, we will use the Xiaomi 50W power bank here as a reference.
What I love most about the Stuffcool 85W power bank is the size. Most powerbanks tend to be tall and narrow, but Stuffcool’s wide design makes it easier to slip your powerbank into your bag. It also feels lighter than Xiaomi’s 20,000mAh power bank. Also, despite being plastic, the build quality is excellent.
The power bank has one button that indicates the charge level, and two USB-C ports and one USB-A port on the side. The port labeled USB-C1 is the star of the show here, going up to 65W with the USB PD 3.0 protocol. That means you can charge not just the best Android phones, but your MacBook, Windows notebook, or just about any device that charges via USB PD.
Stuffcool has bundled a 100W USB-C to USB-C cable and it is one of the best available in India. I’ve been using Stuffcool cables to charge my notebook at 100W for the last few years and had no issues. The same goes for the cable that comes with it. The USB-C2 port reaches up to 20W and the USB-A port reaches 18W. Here is a breakdown of the power budget and voltage when individual ports are in use:
- USB-C1 (out): 5V/3A (15W), 9V/3A (27W), 12V/3A (36W), 15V/3A (45W), 20V/3.25A (65W)
- USB-C2 (out): 5V/3A (15W), 9V/2.22A (19.8W), 12V/1.67A (20W)
- USB-A (out): 5V/3A (15W), 9V/2A (18W), 12V/1.5A (18W)
- USB-C1 (inch): 5V/3A (15W), 9V/3A (27W), 12V/3A (36W), 15V/3A (45W), 20V/3.25A (65W)
- USB-C1 PPS: 3.3-11V/3A (33W), 3.3-21V/3A (63W)
- USB-C2 PPS: 3.3-11V/ 2A (22W)
The biggest advantage of this power bank is that you can use the 65W USB-C1 port to charge the built-in 20,000mAh battery. However, given its size, it takes just under three hours to fully charge the power bank. has enough power. In that regard, it works in PPS at up to 63W on the USB-C1 port and 22W on the secondary USB-C port, making it a perfect fit for Samsung’s devices.
Of course, the big selling point of power banks is their ability to charge multiple devices at once. So here is the power budget when multiple ports are used:
- USB-C1 + USB-C2 + USB-A: 65W + 10W + 10W (Maximum 85W)
- USB-C1 + USB-C2: 65W + 20W (Maximum 85W)
- USB-C1 + USB-A: 65W + 18W (Maximum 83W)
- USB-C2 + USB-A: 10W + 10W (maximum 20W)
The best use case for this power bank is charging two USB-C devices at once. Preferably, it will charge up to 65W notebooks and 20W phones. Stuffcool positions this power bank for iPhone and MacBook owners, but it works equally well with Android phones, and I’ve had no problems using it to charge a variety of phones and accessories.
The Stuffcool 85W Power Bank is available now for Rs 4,999 ($60). It’s 1,000 rupees ($12) more than Xiaomi’s 50W power bank, but the charging potential more than justifies the extra cost.
