NotGames, an indie studio with an ingenious propaganda simulator not for broadcast (2022), announced that it will release another VR version in March, coming to SteamVR and Meta Quest 2.
Releasing March 23rd on Steam and Quest Store, Not for Broadcast VR Put the power of mass media in your hands by controlling what and how people see in your own TV studio control booth, set in an alternate timeline of 80s England.
The VR adaptation, which promises all of the original game’s dystopian tales of power, greed and resistance, looks like a natural fit for a seated, button-heavy game. Don’t touch anything.
The game is full of selfish celebrities, dishonest politicians, and weird sponsors. The show must continue uninterrupted. Take in a lineup of VHS tapes to frame and edit shots, blow out taunts, and keep everything running smoothly even when disaster strikes outside your window. Whatever you do, your mission is to maintain those ratings.
You can add the game to your wishlist on Steam now. I’m still waiting for Quest’s Store link, but I’ll update this post when I find it. In addition to its VR launch, the game is also coming to PlayStation and Xbox on his March 23rd.
At the time of this writing, the flatscreen version of not for broadcast earned an “overwhelmingly positive” user review score on Steam, with over 7,000 players.
