Nothing Tech has announced the Ear (2) wireless earbuds. These are his third member of Nothing’s wireless earbud series and serve as the direct successor to Nothing Ear(1), which launched in June 2021. There are no major changes in terms of design between the two models, but the spec department added some useful features.
Nothing Ear (2) supports the LHDC 5.0 audio codec that enables streaming of high resolution audio. Bud also features a new personalized sound profile that allows you to tune Bud to your specific hearing level after a quick test with the Nothing X companion app. You can further tweak the equalizer settings to your liking from the app.
Ear (2) also offers Adaptive Active Noise Canceling ANC that adjusts for unwanted noise based on your specific ear profile and surroundings. No updates to the 11.6 mm driver with a new diaphragm unit made from graphene and polyurethane materials. The voice pickup has also been improved, providing better wind protection and should provide better voice isolation in harsh environments. Ears (2) also bring dual pairing.
Battery life is up to 36 hours with the charging case. You can top up the case via USB-C or go the wireless route with speeds of 2.5W.The new earbuds support Google Fast Pair for Android devices and Microsoft Swift Pair for Windows users. . The case of the earbuds (2) is IP55 rated against dust and splashes, and the earbuds offer an IP54 rating.
