Don’t call it RTX 4080 Lite
A 12 GB version of the RTX 4080 has arrived in the form of the RTX 4070 Ti which has exactly the same specs as the card it pulled in. Another interesting thing about the RTX 4070 Ti launch is that we will only see cards from third-party vendors, with no Founders Edition cards. This will affect the price. It has a suggested retail price of $799, but vendors charge a premium for overclocked versions such as the ASUS TUF Gaming GeForce RTX 4070 Ti card reviewed by Sebastian.
FPS Review’s review offers another look at the same card, worth $849.99. They’re also planning two STRIX versions of him, with the STRIX 12G retailing at $949.99 and the STRIX O12G he’s hard to justify at $1,049.99. For our FPS review, we used a Ryzen 9 5900 and an ASUS ROG X670E Hero for our benchmarks, but with slightly different setups. We also focused on 4K performance instead of 3440×1440.
You can see the performance hit from those extra pixels, but DLSS makes a huge difference in making the RTX 4070 Ti a viable 4K card. Considering you want to try it, it’s probably something you should aim for. Check out the full results here.
