Business process outsourcing giant Capita today claimed that Friday’s “cyber incident” was largely contained and services were being restored.
In a brief statement, the London-based company acknowledged that the incident primarily affected internal access to Microsoft 365 applications, resulting in disruptions to some client services.
“Our IT security monitoring function quickly alerted us to the incident and immediately invoked our established and practiced technical crisis management protocols,” the statement continued.
“Immediate steps were taken to better isolate and contain the issue. The issue is limited to a portion of the Capita network and there is no evidence that customer, supplier or colleague data was compromised.”
