As of January 12, 2023, HBO Max has increased its subscription price.
The streaming service, which recently curated its catalog, announced in a press release that the ad-free tier will be raised from $14.99 per month to $15.99 per month plus applicable taxes. Your next billing cycle will reflect this change.

This is the first time HBO Max has increased the price of its service since its launch in 2020. It’s the latest streaming service to follow in the footsteps of Netflix and Disney+ and raise prices. All three services also have an ad-supported subscription tier with a low monthly fee. HBO Max’s previous price increases only apply to the ad-free tier, so the price for ad-supported accounts remains $9.99 per month.
