Should schools ban ChatGPT or embrace the technology instead?

Schools and educational institutions in the United States and elsewhere have announced bans on the recently released AI-powered chatbot ChatGPT. This is out of concern that students will be able to complete their assignments using this technology. However, given how difficult it is to detect that text has been created by ChatGPT, a ban may be virtually impossible. Instead, isn’t it time to rethink how students are taught and evaluated?
