We’re just weeks away from the launch of the Galaxy S23 on Galaxy Unpacked.Samsung hasn’t revealed details about its next flagship phone yet, but the head of Samsung’s Mobile eXperience business has given us a sneak peek at the upcoming device. .
in a blog post (opens in new tab) On Tuesday, TM Roh focused on the company’s ‘Ultra’ lineup of smartphones and tablets. These often represent the company’s best-in-class flagship devices, from the Galaxy S20 Ultra to last year’s Galaxy S22 Ultra.
“Since the 2020 S20 series, we have pioneered a smartphone that blends the beloved Note experience with the Ultra, bringing together the power, performance and creative features of two major Galaxy innovations in one,” Roh said in the post. I’m here.
“Galaxy S Ultra is the true pinnacle of Samsung Mobile innovation and a brand that stands out from the rest. ”
He goes on to tease the features of the upcoming Galaxy S23 Ultra, which has a “latest chipset” that is expected to be the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2. Equipped with a smarter professional camera system.
The teaser for the Galaxy S23 series focuses heavily on the camera experience, especially nighttime performance.

The blog post came shortly after Samsung announced the ISOCELL HP2. The ISOCELL HP2 is a 200MP camera sensor that can capture full resolution images with 0.6μm pixels, 50MP photos combined with 1.2μm pixels, or large 12.5MP images with 2.4μm pixels. The sensor also supports 8K 30fps video and has other enhancements such as better focus and color reproduction.
This is the sensor we expect to be found on the Galaxy S23 Ultra when it launches on February 1st.
Roh also touches on Samsung’s sustainability, from its self-healing program to its promise of impressive updates, which last year extended to four OS upgrades and five years of security patches.
Finally, he hints at “two devices that set a new premium standard for innovation.” Unfortunately, it doesn’t seem likely that we’ll get a successor to the excellent Galaxy Tab S8 device, instead leaks have revealed a new Windows-powered Galaxy of his, including one of his models with the Ultra moniker attached. It points to a Book laptop.
