While some modern so-called tiny houses are about the same size as traditional homes, Roams are actually tiny little houses. The towable dwelling is only 12 feet (3.6 m) long, but packs an amazing amount of features. Optionally, it can also be equipped to run off-grid for maximum freedom.
The Roam was designed by Texas-based firm Nook Tiny Homes. The company positions it to offer a small house-like interior while offering the portability of a camping he trailer.
Suitable for use as a guest house or for weekends and holidays. It can also be configured as retail or office space as needed. To put that size into perspective, the Denali XL is more than three times as long.
The interior is decidedly compact. I’m not going to have a dinner party here. Most of the dwelling is occupied by one space. This includes a stacked bed with integrated storage space. There is a kitchenette nearby with a small sink, some cabinets, a refrigerator and an electric stove.

Surprisingly, there is also a bathroom accessed by a sliding door, with a toilet and shower. Generous glazing throughout the small camper house lets in the sun, and a pull-out shade provides shade for dining or relaxing outside.
The frame of the ROHM is manufactured from cold rolled steel and mineral wool is used for insulation. The exterior is clad in metal inverted rib he panels, topped by a standing seam metal roof. It also features a covered storage rack.
Works with RV-style hookups as standard, but the Roam can optionally be fitted with a solar panel. However, this will definitely increase the starting price of US$55,000.
