A flicker-free flame can make your stove or engine more efficient. Creating such flames previously required the use of artificially low gravity or pressure. Researchers have now managed to do just that in real-world conditions by combining flames.

Devices ranging from stoves and furnaces to aircraft and spacecraft engines use flames placed close to each other.
