A standing desk is a very useful piece of kit if you work from home. Not only does sitting to the aforementioned standing help add variety to your day, but it also offers options in other ways. You can easily fit your PC in it. I’ve been sold on a standing desk life for a while. Carbon negative stuff like Fnatic x ChopValue (opens in new tab) The collaboration is worth seeing.
Most of the deal with the Fnatic x ChopValue Revive Pro desk is that it’s made from recycled chopsticks. A little eco-friendly desk, right? I would be happy if you could see it in the finish. All the splints combine different colors of wood to create a nice butcher block style top, but there’s something more interesting.

When purchasing the desk, you can choose the logo you want to embellish on the chop top. ChopValue and Fnatic logos are embedded in the tree, and the number of chopsticks is displayed on the left edge of the desk. On the front right side there is a special spot for making your own mark. Mine has the PC Gamer logo on it and looks much cooler than I expected.
In use, the tougher-feeling desktop gives me more confidence, so I don’t worry too much about moving stuff around. I tried to hurt it in vain. The desk controls for raising and lowering the table top are similar to most standing desk models, allowing for up/down and programmable levels of customization. This is all fairly standard occurrence from what I’ve seen and works as expected.

I’m going to say one of the other standing desks I have enough experience with is the Vari Electric Standing Desk (opens in new tab), when it comes to price, it beats the Fnatic x ChopValue Revive desk. The Pro ChopValue desk model I’m reviewing has a 65cm x 117.5cm desktop for $1,075 USD. That’s a little less than similar Vari models under $1,000. It’s not a big price difference, but it’s still noticeable. And for us in Australia, the price difference is even bigger at Vari, which is about half the price of the ChopValue option.
The Vari was also a little easier to assemble than the Fnatic x ChopValue Revive standing desk. The Fnatic took a little longer to put together, but the small chunks made the parts easier to use. The top of the Revive is also very tightly packed with many layers to prevent damage. I’ve dented a Vari desktop running a monitor on a single plate, and haven’t had that problem yet with the Revive. This is important considering half of what you’re paying for these desks is a nice customizable desktop.
In general, the ChopValue desk offers a much more natural wood finish than the Vari topping, and is a little unique in aesthetics, especially with all the carvings. Some you can add yourself.
ChopValue runs slightly smoother and quieter than Vari. A convenient cable hole on the back lets you attach the included cable organizer to the bottom of your desktop for better organization. It’s a very small surface area, so being able to keep as much of the kit off this desk as possible is extremely important, and I appreciate any little help with that.
Aside from the sturdy top and metal legs, the hardest part about this desk is the price. Most of us here are just trying to survive capitalism, so this desk isn’t the best value for every consumer. In addition to the great initiative behind the desk, there are some noticeable quality improvements there as well. It depends on how you use it.
