Windows Subsystem for Android in Windows 11 is updated.

Microsoft has confirmed that the Android 13 update is officially coming to Windows 11. A big feature of Windows 11 when it first came out was Android app support. Windows Subsystem for Android (WSA) is now upgraded to Android 13.
Windows 11 users can run many Android apps that behave as native apps thanks to the Windows Subsystem for Android in Windows 11. Terrible name aside, this feature opens up some new options for PC users.
We’ve heard that this update could be released in December, but it’s now officially rolling out to all Windows Insider members. Specifically, Microsoft is rolling out his January 2023 update to his WSA. This update bumps the latest Insider version of Windows Subsystem for Android to 2211.40000.11.0.
In addition to the new system version, this update adds some changes, most of which are not user friendly. Among them are faster boot times, improved app resizing and mouse clicks, a new command for shutting down the WSA, a shortcut from the target Android app, and more.
To run Android apps on a Windows 11 machine, it only works after installing WSA, and remember to get the apps from the Amazon Appstore, not Google’s Play Store. Still, there are thousands of apps available, giving your PC more options than ever before.
Microsoft didn’t elaborate on when regular Windows 11 users will see the update, but we expect it to arrive after the latest Windows Insider bug testing is over.
