In what may come as a bit of a surprise, Google has decided to rely on Fitbit for health and fitness tracking on the Pixel Watch. What makes this decision questionable is that Google Fit has been around for years and is actually preferred by some as a health-tracking service.
Also, Google seems to have realized that there’s a bit of a “tug of war” between the two when it comes to where data is stored. Thankfully, with the release of the Pixel Watch, you can now connect your Fitbit and Google Fit to your Google Assistant. However, it requires a little configuration to work properly.
How to connect Fitbit and Google Fit to Google Assistant
1. Google app on your smartphone.
2. in the upper right corner profile image.
3. Tap Configuration in the pop-up window that appears.
4. Tap Google Assistant.

5. Scroll down and tap wellness.
6. Tap activity.
7. Choose one fit bit Also Google Fit.
8. Tap connection.
9. When prompted, Follow the on-screen instructions Complete the setup process.
Ten. repeat the steps Connect services that have not yet been configured.

Your assistant will let you know your progress
One of the problems with tracking health metrics is that you may rely on different apps. Strava is definitely great for tracking your runs, and MyFitnessPal is great for monitoring what you’re eating. Health Connect aims to solve this problem in the future by putting all the data in one (secure) place.
Some of the best fitness apps are already integrated with Fitbit or Google Fit, but not accessible through Google Assistant. By adding both Google products to your Assistant, you can quickly see how well you slept, how many calories you burned, how many steps you took, and more.

Best smartwatch for most people
While the Pixel Watch holds a special place in our hearts, the Galaxy Watch 5 remains the default smartwatch for most users. It’s cheaper, has a more robust sensor, and you don’t have to hunt for connectors to change bands.
