Google’s Pixel Watch is arguably the most beautiful Android smartwatch out there today. It has a sleek and stylish design, but it’s also very functional with the digital crown and hardware buttons on the side. However, it’s important to update your Pixel Watch if you want to make sure you get all the new features and bug fixes.
How to update your Pixel Watch
Since the Pixel Watch is really just a small phone that you wear on your wrist, there are a few requirements that must be met before you can update your Pixel Watch. These are the same steps you should follow regardless of which smartwatch you own. But only if you don’t want to deal with a big headache.
- About the charger
- Battery is at least 50%
- Pixel Watch is connected to Wi-Fi
As a rule of thumb, we always recommend keeping your smartwatch connected to the charger during the update process. Of course, Google says this is a requirement, but it’s just to ensure your Pixel Watch doesn’t run out of battery while downloading and installing updates.
From your Pixel Watch, swipe down Click on the watch face to display the quick settings panel.
2. Tap . Settings (gear) button.
3. Scroll down and tap system.

4. Tap system update.
5. If an update is available, wait Download and install.

If an update is available, you may see a prompt telling you that the download process has started. After the update has finished downloading, your Pixel Watch will restart and display the message “Installing update…”.
It’s very important to keep your Pixel Watch connected to the charger during this time, as you don’t want to interrupt the update installation process. After the update has finished downloading and installing on your Pixel Watch, your device will restart and you’ll see your watch face when it’s done.
We have a trick for updating your Pixel Watch

After following the steps in the previous section, you should have an available update for your Pixel Watch. However, unlike some of the best Android smartwatches, there is actually a way to “force” an update. This was spotted shortly after Google released his December 2022 update, but it’s been around since Wear OS 2nd.
if you know There’s an update available for my Pixel Watch, but it’s not installed. Please follow the steps above.and when you reach your watch is up to date Tap the clock icon at the top of the screen repeatedly. If an update is actually available, the screen will refresh and the update will start downloading.
It’s kind of weird that this kind of workaround is still out there for Wear OS 3.5 with the Pixel Watch. Perhaps one day Google will implement a “check for updates” button. But until then, there is a way to force the update to download instead of waiting for the stars to align.

The latest in Wear OS
As is the case with Google’s Pixel smartphone lineup, the Pixel Watch should get new Wear OS features first. Google promises to provide regular security updates for its first smartwatches.
