Acuatico takes you into the depths of the ocean to strategically build undersea cities to save mankind. Aquatico has a unique vertical layered construction system not often found in city builders. It also features region-based biomes with varying temperature and depth levels that affect how players build their underwater civilization. Acuatico, published by Overseer Games and developed by Digital Reef Games Acuatico, canceled his 1.0 release on January 12th.th2023, $24.99.
I love the aesthetics of this game. It creates an atmosphere like no other. I wish there was a little more marine life roaming around to make things more exciting, but you can’t have everything. I feel very immersed in this world I am creating. It has a minimalist sound package that sets the deep underwater ambiance and makes you lose track of time.
We started our review on version 1.0 on normal difficulty, but had two minor patches by the time of this review. Action is definitely lacking in the early to mid-game. You can actually use more special events, disasters, or objectives to pass the time between studies. It felt like I was stuck in a loop because I was constantly gated by research when nothing else was happening. There were several shark attacks by the 9th year, but they were easily repelled by the defensive buildings.
I enjoyed the level of sub-administration that some buildings featured. If you really like working with numbers, you’ll love this game. The dynamic between trading posts and trading houses allows you to minimize resources and move the game faster once they are pumped. Buildings such as cages and underwater fields harvest different types of food that can be traded. The deeper you go (pun)!
Your dome creates a vertically layered experience with the illusion of playing two games. Outside the dome, we are essentially building underwater machines designed to be efficient and productive. Inside the dome, we are building a livable city where citizens can gather and enjoy life. Switching between build modes feels really good. Dramatically change your style so you can focus on your game.
Many of the small bugs we encountered early on were fixed by the end of the first week. After this, I experienced a very smooth gameplay experience for the most part. I ran into a few minor issues here and there, but nothing that broke the game.Cheers to ultrawide monitor support !
If you’re into the management side of min-maximization and watching it all grow, this game is ready for you today. People may not enjoy this game very much at this point. I think the game is in a great place at the moment. Hopefully future updates will add some exciting missing content. As it stands today, this game is definitely worth $24.99.
