- Alleged details about Pixel tablets have emerged.
- The device, codenamed ‘tangorpro’, is apparently the Tensor G2 version of the tablet previously rumored to be the Pixel Tablet Pro.
- Google plans to launch the Pixel Tablet in 2023.
Google has already hinted at the next Pixel tablet, but details are still lacking. However, a new leak gives us more information about the upcoming device ahead of its launch this year.
Tipper Kuba Wojciechowski has received some information about the Pixel tablet. It contains some specifications about the device. According to sources, the tablet will feature 8GB of his LPDDR5 RAM and 256GB of storage, the latter of which has been seen in previous leaks. Apparently there’s a fingerprint sensor on the side, and the LED display resolution he has is 2560×1600, much like the Galaxy Tab S8.
He also posted some images of the above device that show it’s running Android 13 and resemble the previously leaked live image of the tablet.

The leaker also claims the device, codenamed “tangorpro”, is the rumored Pixel Tablet Pro. previously referenced in code. This is clearly different from the original “tangor” device, which is said to be a regular Pixel Tablet. According to Wojciechowski, Google was running the first generation of Tensor chipsets, so they may have scrapped the original version.
Instead, Google plans to release a “Pro” version powered by the new Tensor G2 chipset. However, this is apparently the only difference between the two devices, suggesting that there may be only one Pixel Tablet device this year instead of two. That said, it seems unlikely that Google will slap the “Pro” moniker on device startup.
Google has largely been tight-lipped about its Pixel tablets, and Pixel fans like Android Central’s Andrew Myrick have complained that the company shouldn’t wait for the device to launch. We don’t have a release date yet, but it’s highly expected to be fully revealed at Google I/O 2023, likely in May.
For now, we can only take the leaks at face value until Google provides a full rundown of the upcoming tablet. is already attractive.
