Electra, a Trek subsidiary, has added a new member to its Loft family of e-bikes. It’s a lightweight commuter named the Loft Go 7D EQ with torque-sensing pedal assist and a 40-mile battery. .
The Loft Go 7D EQ is the newest member of the city bike line that started in 2014 with four regular (non-motorized) models.
Available in step-over and step-through frame variants, it rocks a modern classic aesthetic and is designed to be a relatively lightweight e-bike that can be easily transported to your apartment or office, weighing in at 46.3 lbs (21 kg). .
The e-bike comes with a 250-W rear hub motor for 3 PAS modes with 40 Nm (29.5 lb.ft) of torque and up to 20 mph (32 km/h). – Speed Shimano Tourney gearset for ride flexibility.

The new Loft features a non-removable, fully integrated 250Wh downtube battery for a stealthy, regular bike look. This isn’t a big deal by modern standards, but should be enough for most daily commutes. An optional 250 Wh range extender is available if you want to ride more between plugins.
It rolls on double-walled alloy rims with “fast-rolling” 700x40c Kenda Piedmont tires, and stopping power is provided by mechanical flat-mount disc brakes with 160mm rotors. It has a simple LED handlebar display with assist adjustment, integrated LED lighting, an included kickstand and full fenders.
