DHB’s Windproof Cycling Gloves, as the name suggests, provide effective wind protection for winter riding.
However, the fabric is a little too thin to provide enough insulation for really cold rides. The cuffs are fairly short and the fit is tight.
Overall, though, they are well thought out in terms of features and are competitively priced.
Specifications of DHB Windproof Cycling Gloves

The DHB windproof gloves offer most of the features found in more expensive options.
It’s made from a windproof, insulating fabric that isn’t thick enough to impede the feel of the handlebars and use of the controls. The gloves aren’t completely waterproof, but the DWR coating provides some protection from light rain.
There are also elastic cuffs rather than Velcro or other closures, a feature of many modern cycling gloves.
The palm has padding across key acupuncture points, additional gel padding under the heel of the hand, and a hole in the center of the palm to aid in ventilation.
Finally, there are silicone grippers on the index and middle fingers, as well as the thumb. DHB says it is also touchscreen compatible.
DHB Windproof Cycling Glove Performance

DHB Windproof Cycling Gloves have a significantly shorter cuff compared to other winter cycling gloves we tested.
Depending on the sleeve length and fit of your jacket, it might be fine, but it’s more likely to create a gap around your wrist than other designs.
Gloves are primarily designed for cold, dry conditions and are highly wind resistant, so fingers should be kept warm to around 5°C. On cold rides, I want something with more protection.

The palm grips the bars and controls well, but the touchscreen fingertips weren’t very effective and required a few prongs to operate the phone or cycling computer.
Gloves are very tight across the knuckles, but tend to bunch at the palms. May soften with extended use as the fabric stretches, but size up to ensure a looser fit. It’s worth considering doing.
Conclusion on the DHB Windproof Cycling Gloves

Like DHB products, Windproof gloves work at a lower price point than many other brands.
It’s not very insulated, but in the mild conditions typical of temperate climates, the windproof fabric will keep you comfortable once you’ve warmed up.
But watch out for short cuffs and a tight fit. You may want to increase the size.
