Hunter Biden’s lawyer Wednesday sent a letter calling for an investigation into former President Donald Trump’s allies, who allege they illegally bought and sold information stolen from his laptop.
Among the letters, obtained by NBC News, were sent Wednesday to the Department of Justice’s National Security Agency, purporting to “access, copy, manipulate, and/or disseminate data on Mr. Biden’s computer.” includes Rudy Giuliani, who was Trump’s attorney at the time.
Hunter Biden’s attorney calls for an investigation into the same people for allegedly violating “various Delaware laws” in accessing Biden’s information from what Trump called a “hell laptop.” I wrote a letter to the Delaware Attorney General’s Office.
The Justice Department declined to comment. A spokesperson for the Delaware Attorney General did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
Information from the laptop raises questions about Biden’s finances, which have been under investigation by federal prosecutors in Delaware since 2018. It is also the source of several obscene articles from conservative media that focus on Biden’s drug use.
Biden has mostly kept a low profile during the years of the story — Trump asks, “Where’s the hunter?” During a campaign rally in the 2020 election — but a person familiar with the eldest son’s strategy told NBC that’s enough.
“This marks a new approach by Hunter Biden and his team.As questionable characters continue to violate his rights and media organizations lie and try to smear him, he sits in silence. I don’t mean to be,” said the man.
Giuliani has admitted to giving a copy of his computer hard drive to the New York Post just before the 2020 presidential election. The letter to investigators also recommends an investigation into John Paul Mac Isaac, who said Biden abandoned a water-damaged laptop at a computer repair shop in Wilmington, Delaware.

“Mr. Mac Isaac worked with President Donald Trump’s personal attorney to illegally provide Mr. Biden’s personal data to the New York Post and to sue his father, Joseph R. Biden, for Biden’s personal computer.” We have chosen to weaponize our data,” the letter reads.
Mac Isaac and others were accused of “theft of computer services” and Giuliani and others of “possession of stolen goods”.
Biden has previously deflected comment on whether various emails and photos are legitimate, but the letter appears to acknowledge at least some legitimacy, though Biden isn’t sure to what extent. Said he didn’t have it.
According to the letter, the evaluation of the data was “because for months neither the New York Post nor the source of the material, President Donald Trump’s attorney Rudy Giuliani, were willing to release the data to the public. It was very difficult.” , downstream recipients of what is purported to be Mr. Biden’s hard drive have reported data anomalies, suggesting manipulation of the data. ”
In a separate letter sent Wednesday, Biden’s attorney, Abbe Lowell, asked the Internal Revenue Service to consider the tax-exempt status of the charity run by Garrett Ziegler.
The letter said the organization “is nothing more than a thinly disguised political campaign to attack the Biden administration and the Biden family,” and that such groups are “not campaigners for or against a political candidate.” It is against the rule that you must not participate in
The IRS did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
Biden’s lawyers have also sent letters to Fox News and host Tucker Carlson, demanding the retraction of “false and defamatory statements made by Mr. Carlson on his show” about Hunter Biden.
The story falsely implied that Hunter Biden was involved in a “money laundering scheme to fund President Biden’s lifestyle” and was paying $50,000 a month in rent. was soon debunked, but Carlson did not withdraw it, the letter states.
The letter also calls on Carlson and the network to “notify them of a possible lawsuit” and to preserve all documents related to the article.
Fox News did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
