Before pre-orders and release dates were officially announced, we had the chance to try out the latest three ultrabooks in the Samsung Galaxy Book3 series in person. So far, we’ve been impressed with what we’ve seen, especially the sleek and almost incredibly lightweight Samsung Galaxy Book3 Pro.
It’s a gorgeous and sophisticated addition to the Samsung Book family, and the perfect portable machine for on-the-go use when you can’t or can’t carry a big, heavy machine. We won’t know the details of its performance until we get it for a proper review, but at least the time we spent with this laptop told us how well it’s designed.
Galaxy Book3 Pro: Price and availability
Pro starts at $1,249.99 / £1,349 (approximately AU$1,810) with configuration options. Pre-orders will begin on February 1st and will be released on February 17th. It looks like the ultrabook will only launch in the US and UK, at an affordable price. UK pricing for this is a lot cheaper than in the US, which is a good thing given the exchange rate brings the costs closer together.

The Galaxy Book3 Pro, like the others, comes in two colors, black and light silver. Despite its limited palette, the Pro is a nice ultrabook with a beautifully sleek form factor, and the silver version is particularly attractive.
And I have to say it’s by far the lightest laptop I’ve ever lifted. You will be surprised at how light it is, even if you hold it in your hand. The display is a beautiful AMOLED screen and comes in his two display sizes of 14 and 16 inches. We’ve previewed the 14-inch, and we expect the 16-inch to be about as light.
The keyboard feels premium, and despite that, the touchpad was a bit small, but still very responsive. I found it to be a great camera with sharp images that improve image quality and focus.
The port selection is pretty solid with an HDMI port, two Thunderbolt 4 ports, a Type-A USB port, an audio jack, and an SD card mini slot. However, it is a little disappointing that there is no Ethernet cable. Most buyers will likely never connect their ultrabook to the internet, but having options is always important.

Galaxy Book3 Pro: Performance
We haven’t been able to personally try out the Galaxy Book3 Pro to test its performance, but the specs we know aren’t too shabby. doing. This makes this a great productivity machine, allowing you to get the job done exactly as you intended.
Of course, the GPU wasn’t a priority, so we’re given a standard Iris Xe Graphics GPU. But you can at least play low-end games, so you’re not completely shut out.
Galaxy Book3 Pro: Early Verdict
So far, this is our favorite of the three ultrabooks previewed today, thanks to its stunning looks and even more attractive form factor. It’s not a shrewd machine, but its 13th Gen Intel CPU is more than enough for anyone who wants a good working machine.
The price is a little high, but that’s what you’d expect from a Samsung Galaxy ultrabook. It remains to be seen what the actual performance, sound quality, ventilation, etc. will look like, but if Samsung can land on this one, you’ve got yourself a near-perfect portable ultrabook.
