Australia tends to produce some of the sturdiest camper trailers in the world. Many of them never wander outside the domestic market, but at least a few are slowly working their way into the hitch of American adventure rigs, with models from brands like Patriot and Offtrax traveling the Pacific Ocean. Track Trailer’s rugged Tvan teardrop comes up to date, traveling from the long standing stomping grounds of the Australian outback to the equally dry and rugged no-man’s land of the American Southwest.
Xgrid Campers in Las Vegas are integral to bringing Australian camper trailers to American soil. We currently offer several models from Australian Off Road (AOR) including the innovative Sierra and are adding more trucks to our list of import partners. More specifically, it brings his Tvan, a truck signature and multi-award-winning off-road stalwart.
Lloyd Waldron, Marketing and Distribution Manager for Track Trailer, said in a recent announcement: “We believe Xgrid represents the Track brand with integrity and genuine enthusiasm, and we are excited to finally share our passion with American explorers and adventurers. I am doing it.”

Since its first introduction in 2000, the Tvan trailer has remained at the top of its class, with three separate camper trailer australia It has also won the Motorhome of the Year Award and the Australian Caravan Industry Association Motorhome Trailer of the Millennium. The trailer is now in its 5th generation and has a ‘strongbox’ body on top of a hot-dip galvanized steel chassis, allowing Track’s own MC2 asymmetrical link independent suspension to lift from the hard, uneven ground below. absorbs the impact of
The fifth generation Tvan introduces Track’s streamlined Skyward Lift-Up Deck. This allows the user to lift the rear drop-down deck in conjunction with the tailgate for instant access to the interior and a quick sleep after a long ride. Or just to grab something from the inside. When the time comes to fully pitch the base camp, the rear deck separates, keeping the tailgate high and acting as a sandwich-like structure around a drop-down annex tent that stows inside the tailgate. This tent is combined with an interior with a queen mattress to create a spacious living space.

One of the major hurdles in bringing trailers from Australia to the US is rebuilding the electrical system to US specifications. Track’s job is made easier by the fact that the Tvan lineup includes the option of a state-of-the-art Redarc electrical system. And long-established Australian brand Redarc has been growing his RV electrical component line-up (and a great show truck inventory) in the US for much of the last decade.
Like the Aus-spec Tvan, the US version gets a fully integrated electrical system that runs through Redarc’s RedVision management system. This centralized command system replaces individual switches and monitors with a centralized display and accompanying mobile app for controlling and monitoring functions such as lights, batteries, water tanks and power outlets. Outlets are now 120 V instead of 240 V, and the American-spec Tvan also includes a 30 A shore power charger, a 350 W inverter, a 120 watt roof-mounted solar, and a DC-DC charger .

Xgrid offers Track’s oversized premium kitchen, triple burner stove, stainless steel sink, large stainless steel countertops, and an expandable slide-out unit with storage drawers. The Quick Cover Awning installs in 2 minutes and provides shade on top. A 106 L fresh water tank is standard, with a 68 L auxiliary tank available for those who want to be extra prepared.
The Tvan will land in Xgrid’s showroom adjacent to the Las Vegas Motor Speedway this month. Xgrid has yet to list full pricing details, but it does indicate that the Tvan will start in the mid to low $60,000s, depending on which option you choose.
