At its recent showcase in Paris, Google announced new updates to Google Lens for Android mobile devices. “In the coming months,” Google will allow anyone using Lens on Android to search anything on their screen. As Google said during its presentation, “If you can see it, you can search it.”
In the coming months, we’re introducing a ✨major update✨ to help you find your mobile screen.
Soon, you’ll be able to search the content of your photos and videos on websites and apps on Android using Lens via Google Assistant. #googlelivefromparis pic.twitter.com/UePB421wRY

Users can search for images with building names, cooking recipes, car models, or searchable information. It also works across websites and apps, so you don’t have to leave your screen to perform a Lens search.
At the same event, Google announced updates to its Multisearch feature. It allows users to perform image searches and add text to narrow search results. You can now add text to specify what kind of results you’re looking for in an image.
Multisearch is now running globally. Try this new way to search images and text at the same time. 🤯
So if you want to find something you love in a different style, color or fit, use Lens to snap or upload a photo and add text to find it. 🔎#googlelivefromparis pic.twitter.com/4yT6voiJkn

In the tweet above, Google indicates that Lens can be used to perform image searches and add text searches with additional styling to further refine results.
At the same event, Google also announced Bard. It is a ChatGPT competitor and will soon be featured in searches. Just this week, Microsoft announced AI-powered enhancements to its Bing and Edge browsers.
