A firestarter is a great survival tool to bring on wilderness treks. The Infinity Multi-Tool contains such a gadget and offers several other functions. Plus, it’s made from titanium, everyone’s favorite material for outdoor gear.
Currently in a Kickstarter campaign, the 36-gram (1.3-ounce) Infinity comes with a “ferro rod” that is stored inside the tool’s hollow body when not in use. When the user wants to start a fire, pull out the rod and hit it against the knurled outside of the tool to create a spark.
The Infinity’s removable top features a spring-loaded clip for quick and easy attachment and detachment to belt loops, backpack straps, and more. It also has a hard ceramic bead on top that can break car windows in the event of an accident.

The bottom edge of the device incorporates a pry bar/nail puller that can also chop up materials such as packing tape. Additionally, there are bottle opener and hex wrench/driver bit holes for using 3rd party bits.
The Infinity’s internal compartment is IPX8 waterproof and can survive submersion up to 1 meter (3.3 feet) deep. This helps keep the rod dry, but if the user doesn’t care too much about creating sparks, leave the rod out and replace it with a match, pill, or some You can store items such as hex bits.
