Rated to work with Blackmagic URSA Mini PRO 12K cameras
Samsung wants you to consider the new T7 Shield External USB 3.2 Gen 2 Portable SSD for your data needs on the go. Available in 1 TB, 2 TB, and 4 TB versions, all are IP65 rated, so you won’t be submerged in the ocean, but you won’t have to worry about getting wet in water or sand. It’s also rated to deliver over 900 MB/s sequential writes, even when nearly full. This is important when recording 12K as it is the minimum speed required to capture everything properly.
TweakTown has already tested the 1TB model and is currently taking some time to research the 4TB model. In their tests, it sustained speeds of over 1000 MB/s, outperforming the 1 TB model and proving to be worth it. This drive performed well with a 100 GB file copy, offering 50% more performance than the smaller model.
If you have a 12K camera, or something less crazy, the Samsung T7 is a great place to store those recordings.
