Samsung opened pre-orders for the Galaxy S23 after the series launched, and after a strong reception in India, we’ve seen consumer interest growing in South Korea as well. There were 1.09 million pre-orders, more than 7% more than before.
This is the highest ever number of pre-orders for the Galaxy S lineup in an Asian country, with only the Galaxy Note10 family surpassing it with nearly 1.4 million units in August 2019.
South Korean media have revealed that 60% of all orders have been placed for the Galaxy S23 Ultra model. The vanilla Galaxy S23 accounted for 24% of him, while the Galaxy S23+ had the smallest share at around 15%.
For comparison, last summer’s Galaxy Z Flip4 and Galaxy Z Fold4 pre-orders failed to cross the 1 million threshold.
