Thermaltake Ceres 500 TG ARGB, Sans ARGB Controller

for that nice clean look

The Thermaltake Ceres 500 TG ARGB is priced at $170, which might seem a bit steep without the ARGB and fan controller, but it does come with some interesting extras. If you prefer a clean interior, this case comes with two of his mounting plates, allowing you to hide up to four 2.5-inch drives or two 3.5-inch drives in the back of the case. A PSU shroud hides an additional two 2.5″ or 3.5″ drives forward, and a routing channel hides them completely. If you need that much storage, there’s an extra plate for adding a drive or two in a slightly discreet location.

The four 140mm ARGB fans included with the Ceres 500 TG ARGB can be daisy chained, hiding the PWM and ARGB cabling from the site. Finally, there is the traditional Thermaltake 90° GPU bracket that allows the card to be mounted vertically if desired. Many air intakes are covered with mesh filters, but TechPowerUp found the magnets to be a little weak, as filters tend to pop out when manipulating the case.

The overall build is solid, with a design that’s more than just a case, and the hinged glass side panels are a nice touch. Inside, there’s plenty of room even if you need extra cooling, not to mention a well-endowed GPU. Read the full review if you’re interested.
