The last time I left my Netflix hero shadow and bone, they believed Darkling (Ben Barnes), the powerful Shadow Summoner who created Shadowfold, was dead. However, as the season 2 trailer shows, that’s not the case. Not only are the Darklings still alive, but they also have a new army of shadowy creatures at their disposal.
As the Darklings grow stronger, Sun Summoner Alina (Jessie May Lee) has to rely on herself if she wants to break the fold. She and Maru (Archie Renault) must track down the legendary Sea Whip and Firebird to enhance her solar summoning abilities. They also need new allies such as the charming pirate – sorry, privateer – Sturmhond (Patrick Gibson) who has some secrets.
Kaz (Freddy Carter), Ineji (Amita Suman), and Jesper (Kit Young), the crows of the world, return to Keterdam to find themselves surrounded on all sides by enemies. When the opportunity for a costly (but deadly) heist presents itself, they call upon new friends such as Heartlender Nina (Daniel Garrigan) and destruction expert Wylan (Jack Wolfe) to challenge for glory. The road with Alina again.
