- Individual accounts will see early prompts starting March 6th.
In a new Google Workspace blog post, Google details its plans to integrate reminders from Calendar and its AI assistant into the Tasks app. Workspace customers, work accounts, and school accounts can voluntarily migrate their reminders to the Google Tasks service starting April 12th. Customers with personal accounts will have a chance on March 6th.
As the company previously explained, once the migration is complete, users will be able to view and manage all their reminders in Google Tasks. This allows you to access your to-do list from various Google services such as Gmail, Calendar, Docs, Chat on the web, and more. Users can create tasks in any of these and sync them across multiple services without opening another tab or auxiliary application.

Google Assistant now has the ability to create tasks, replacing the previously used Assistant Reminders feature. These new to-do items can be accessed directly from the Google Tasks app when you need them.
Note that on May 22nd, Workspace customers will automatically integrate reminders into Google Tasks. Organization admins need to enable tasks for members to start migration. If you disable this, an organization member’s reminders will be automatically deleted after her June 22nd.
Individual accounts can begin migrating their data in early March, while Reminders will automatically convert to the Tasks service in Q2 2023. However, Google said it will provide additional information on this timeline in the future. Reminders made in Google Keep will remain there and will not be part of this integration. Note, however, that Keep service reminders cannot be viewed in Google Calendar.
