WhatsApp is rolling out picture-in-picture functionality for its iOS app with its latest update. This allows users to access WhatsApp and other apps during calls without shutting out the video feed.
The company rolled out this feature in version 23.3.77 of its iOS app. Until now, if he switched to another app on his iPhone during a WhatsApp video call, the other person would not be able to see your video feed. With this new feature, you can answer messages or look up information over the phone without interrupting your call.
WhatsApp first announced the feature last December, saying it was testing picture-in-picture on iOS for video calling with selected people.
In addition to this feature, WhatsApp is also releasing the ability to add captions while sending documents on both iOS and Android.
The company is also testing the ability for iOS users to send 100 photos or documents at once. This feature is available for his Android users with the latest update.
Earlier this month, WhatsApp introduced a set of status-related features – the app’s own implementation of the story format. This includes voice updates, emoji reactions to statuses, rich link previews for statues, limiting who can see your updates, displaying a ring around your profile, and more.
