Last week, Samsung detailed its global rollout schedule for One UI 5.1 for premium phones. The company’s mid-range products have also started migrating to version 5.1 of the Samsung UI. The first ones we got were the Korean Galaxy A33 5G and Galaxy A53 5G units with firmware versions A336NKSU3CWB3 and A536NKSU4CWB3 respectively.
The pair received One UI 5.0 in the November Android 13 update. This new update brings a version of One UI that was introduced with the launch of the Galaxy S23 series earlier this month.

Note: The Galaxy A73 isn’t available in South Korea, so we haven’t heard anything about that update yet. Samsung hasn’t officially said when the rollout will expand to new regions. was announced with Android 12 and One UI 4.1 last March.
Anyway, in addition to the new One UI 5.1 goodies, the new software version also includes the February 2023 security patch.
This is a sizeable update, 1.4GB for the Galaxy A53, so make sure you’re connected to Wi-Fi and have enough battery power before you start the download.
