Samsung has been adding coatings to its tablets that repel water and dust particles, and the Tab S9 gets an official IP67 rating. It’s unclear if the new tablets will come with even more protection, or if the reason for the official certification taking so long has to do with insurance and warranty issues.
Bringing official protection against water and dust makes the Galaxy Tab S9 tablet better suited to new use cases such as bathroom multimedia and kitchen assistance. and will likely launch in August alongside the Galaxy Fold and Galaxy Flip foldable devices.
