OnePlus announced the Ace 2 with Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC earlier this month in China. However, the company plans to announce a version of the Ace 2 with a Dimensity 9000 chip. OnePlus hasn’t revealed much about the Ace 2 Dimensity Edition yet, but thanks to a reliable informant digital chat stationwe know what a smartphone looks like.
DCS I posted an image showing the black color of the OnePlus Ace 2 Dimensity Edition. With a flatter design compared to the Snapdragon model, the back cover has his four circles, two of which house his three cameras. The right frame of the phone also has an alert slider with a power button attached.
Rumor has it that the primary camera of the OnePlus Ace 2 Dimensity Edition will use a 64MP OV64M sensor instead of the 50MP IMX890 sensor featured on the Snapdragon variant. The charging speed is also said to have dropped from 100W to 80W for him, but the Dimensity Edition is expected to share the rest of the specs with his Snapdragon version.
The OnePlus Ace 2 with Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 was introduced in India as the OnePlus 11R. It is not yet known if the Dimensity Edition will be launched under a different name outside of China.
