If you tried to log into Twitter on Monday, you may have found that not only is the social media network slow, but links and photos are virtually impossible to view and share. I found that when I tapped the link from Twitter, I got the error code “Your current API plan does not include access to this endpoint”.
After reports of the service outage surfaced, Twitter support eventually reached out to published the answer It said it was aware of the issues and attributed them to “internal changes that had unintended consequences.”
according to Ben Collins on NBC News, this outage may be due to an issue with Twitter’s built-in URL shortening and redirect services. I get the same error message with the same error code when I try to navigate to the t.co service.
This is the latest in a string of recent issues plaguing Twitter. We’ve seen various outages and strange “daily limit” error messages when sending Tweets. Plus, it’s affecting all of Twitter, so it’s not just limited to those using desktops or iOS or Android.
Luckily, the outage didn’t last too long and Twitter was able to get things back on track quickly.
