Swedish boat manufacturer Candela has unveiled a production version of its electric hydrofoil C-8 watercraft. According to the manufacturer, the C-8 consumes 80% less energy than her other boats thanks to a unique hydrofoil system that reduces water friction.
The 28-foot-long electric boat has a range of over 50 miles and a top speed of 30 knots. The boat currently has a base price of €330,000 and a pre-production slot is currently open.
The C-8 is a very private luxury, but Candela is also working on a ferry version of the boat that will soon be part of Stockholm’s public transport system.
