After what seemed like a coincidence back in February, Realme finally unveiled its latest C-series smartphones and a new dynamic island-style feature called the Mini Capsule.
The Mini Capsule works similarly to the Dynamic Island on the iPhone 14 Pro series, presenting users with various notifications from a black bar covering the single hole punch camera at the top of the display.
Realme showed off some of the things mini capsules can do in a promotional video. Features include battery status, charging, steps and data usage notifications, though GSMArena says his two latter features will be available later via a software update.

As far as the Dynamic Island clone is concerned, Realme’s implementation looks pretty basic, but it’s entirely possible that future updates will improve or add new features. It’s also the first official implementation by an Android OEM, despite an early third-party clone that came out last year.
As for the rest of the phone, it’s pretty unremarkable. It features a 6.72-inch Full HD+ display with a 90Hz refresh rate, up to 16GB of RAM, and 256GB of storage.
There is a 64MP primary camera with a depth sensor on the back and an 8MP shooter on the front selfie camera.
The phone draws power from a 5,000mAh battery that supports 33W fast charging, compared to the Realme GT3’s 240W charging revealed at MWC 2023.
The Realme C55 is available in Rainy Night and Sunshower colorways and is already on sale in Indonesia starting at Rp 2,999,000, or around $195. The phone will also be launched in Europe.”soon.”
