I usually start these monthly release date calendars with the comment that it’s going to be a fruitful month for PC games, but I have to be on the same level as you: January is a bit of a stretch as far as new releases go. It’s light.
I recently got to play the first few hours of the Dead Space remake, which releases towards the end of the month. Square Enix RPG Forspoken is another big publisher game coming out in late January, with a One Piece game in the works, but nothing more is on my radar. We’re in the valley of game releases ahead of February’s swell, which includes Atomic Heart, Company of Heroes 3, Like a Dragon: Isin!, and more.
Someone told me that there is a samurai deck building game called Mahokenshi (opens in new tab) But soon out, my interest is piqued. There are also some big events during the year-end and New Year holidays. Here’s what happened to PC gaming in January:
