California-based mobility company Aventon follows the January release of its latest Aventure fat tire model and the most recent launch of its Abound cargo ebike with the outing of the third generation of its urban cruiser, the Pace 500.
The Pace 500.3 is available in step-over and step-thru 6061 aluminum alloy upright cruiser frame variants, also available in regular (for riders up to 5.8ft/1.77m for stepover and up to 5.5ft/1.7m). m for step-through) or large (step-over – up to 6.3ft/1.93m or 6.08ft/1.85m – step-through) size options. Also, the adjustable stem and cushioned saddle enhance the ride.
Aventon kitted their 3rd generation ebike with a torque sensor in the bottom bracket for more responsive assistance from the 500W rear hub motor than a typical cadence sensor. Get pedal assistance up to 28 mph (45 km/h) with four new power modes. Additionally, an 8-speed gearset is included to give you throttle when you need it.

The removable 614 Wh downtube battery consists of LG Lithium Ion cells and provides up to 60 miles (96.5 km) of PAS range on a single charge, or 30 miles with throttle only.
The Pace 500.3 rides on 27.5″ double-walled aluminum rims with 2.1″ puncture resistant tires with reflective sidewalls, and braking power is provided by hydraulic disc brakes. A backlit color LCD display is mounted centrally on the sweepback handlebars for at-a-glance ride information and ebike status. There are also integrated headlights for daytime traffic conditions and nighttime safety, as well as rear lights that swing turn signals to alert other road users to turns.
The new Pace 500.3 Urban Cruisers now retail for US$1,699 each.
