- Images of the Vivo X Flip held by a Chinese actress have leaked.
- This photo shows well the X Flip’s large cover display, which rivals the Galaxy Flip 4.
- Vivo could be gearing up to launch both the first clamshell foldable X Flip and X Fold 2 in April.
Vivo’s introductory clamshell foldable device is starting to feel a little more real thanks to newly leaked images of the device.
Weibo leaker Digital Chat Station posted an official-looking photo of the Vivo X Flip, giving us a sneak peek at its design. In this photo, Chinese actress Oji Wen holds the device folded, revealing a cover display showing time and a cat.
The main point here is the X Flip’s cover display and overall design. This looks pretty similar to previous leaks about the device. The fold-out cover display appears to take up about half of the cover’s surface area, much larger than what we received on Samsung’s Galaxy Flip 4.

It’s hard not to recognize the circular camera array beneath the vibrant cover display. A month ago, a leak mentioned that Vivo may be using his Zeiss branding. The camera array can also accommodate a 50MP Sony IMX866 primary camera and a 12MP Sony IMX663 ultra wide angle lens. By comparison, Samsung’s latest Flip series release offered dual 12MP lens pairing.
Aside from more personal customization options such as a cat-themed clock, the X Flip in this photo seems to have a pattern.
Vivo’s first clamshell foldable can offer a 6.8-inch, 120Hz refresh rate display. Leaks have previously touched on the possibility of a 4,400mAh battery with 44W charging. His OEM in China also seems interested in rivaling Samsung’s latest Flip series devices by including his Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC in the first clamshells as well.
Rumor has it that Chinese users may receive this foldable phone candidate sometime in April. However, it’s unclear if other regions, particularly North America, will receive the Vivo X Flip. The brand is also expected to reveal more details about the X Fold 2 in April.
