The new Edge 40 Pro proves Motorola is still serious about smartphones

Motorola’s latest premium smartphone spec sheets are a dream come true for most smartphone enthusiasts. The 6.67-inch 165Hz FHD pOLED display is surrounded by a sleek “endless edge” design, with all four edges curved into an aluminum frame that Motorola calls excellent comfort.

Its new design maintains IP68 water and dust resistance, and the screen features an anti-fingerprint coating to keep smudges to a minimum. Covered front to back with Gorilla Glass Victus, it can withstand life’s unpredictable moments.

On the back is a redesigned camera housing with three cameras like last year’s Edge 30 Ultra. (opens in new tab), featuring a main 50MP camera with all-pixel PDAF and OIS, and a 12MP 2x telephoto camera and a 50MP ultra-wide/macro camera combo. There’s also an upgraded 60MP camera on the front for ultimate selfie quality. Motorola points out that the Edge 40 Pro can record up to 8K resolution or 4K HDR10+ for the best possible quality.
