With CES 2023 in full swing, TCL unveiled over a dozen new products, including new Q and S series smart TVs, 40 series smartphones, NXTPAPER tablets and NXTWEAR smart wearables. TCL has significantly upgraded its existing device line-up, further enhancing and improving QLED and gaming TVs, smartphones and NXTPAPER devices, including soundbars and consumer electronics.

TCL Q and S Series Smart TVs

TCL claims its 2023 TV lineup will be “the biggest enhancement to date” as the brand revamps its existing Q and S series lineup. , resulting in different levels of HighBrigth displays, enhanced color and brightness, and ultimately improved image quality.

The new Q-Series boasts more dimming zones with Full Array Pro local dimming, and for the first time also gains IMAX Enhanced certification. His AIPQ engine technology, exclusive to TCL, also helps boost refresh rates. The new TCL QM8 is the new flagship of the Q series with Mini LED Ultra Backlight technology, HighBrigth Ultra display and up to 2,300+ dimming zones. The TV also has a built-in subwoofer.

Moving on to gaming, TCL’s new TVs will feature new built-in features such as Auto Game Mode (ALLM) with a range of features and functions. The new TCL Q6 will feature Game Accelerator 120 capable of variable refresh rate (VRR) up to 120Hz while the Q7 and QM8 will support his VRR up to 240Hz. Additionally, the new TVs also support AMD FreeSync.

The new TCL 40 series includes the TCL 40R 5G, TCL 40 SE and TCL 408 affordable devices. Each device features new NXTVISION screen technology, long-lasting batteries, and AI-powered cameras.

The new TCL 40 R 5G features a 6.6 inch HD+ display with a refresh rate of 90Hz powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 700 SoC. It has 4GB of RAM and 64GB of expandable storage. There are also three cameras on the back, a 50MP primary, a 2MP depth and a 2MP macro camera. It has an 8MP sensor on the front. As for the battery, it sports a 5,000 mAh cell that supports 15W charging via USB-C.

The TCL 40 SE comes with an even larger 6.75-inch HD+, 90Hz display. The top-center cutout houses the 8MP front-facing camera, while the rear houses three sensors: a 50MP primary, a 2MP depth, and a 2MP macro sensor. The device is powered by a MediaTek Helio G37 chip with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of eMMC storage. Luckily, storage can also be expanded via a MicroSD card slot.

The phone runs TCL UI 5.0 on Android 13 and has a 5,010mAh battery that supports 18W charging.

The TCL 408 has a 6.6-inch HD+ display with a teardrop cutout for an 8MP selfie camera. Powered by MediaTek Helio P22 (MT6762) SoC with 4/6 GB of RAM and 64/128 GB of expandable storage. It has a 50MP primary, a 2MP depth sensor on the back, and a 5,000 mAh battery with 10W charging.

TCL also announced the NXTPAPER 12 Pro tablet and the company’s first 2-in-1 detachable laptop, the TCL BOOK X12 Go. In addition to the new device, the company also announced the TCL TAB 8 LE, a new compact tablet aimed at helping people stay connected at home and on the go.

The TCL NXTPAPER 12 Pro tablet has a 12.2 inch 2160 x 1440 display with a 3:2 aspect ratio. Powered by the MediaTek MT8771 chip, it has 8 GB of memory and 256 GB of expandable storage. It has an 8,000mAh battery that supports 18W charging, and there are also two cameras, an 8MP front sensor and a 13MP rear camera with autofocus.

The TCL includes a supported E-Pen stylus, charger and charging cable in the box, while a detachable keyboard and 2-in-1 stand are optional accessories.

RayNeo X2 AR Glasses

In addition to new smartphones and tablets, TCL also announced new augmented reality (AR) glasses, the RayNeo X2. It features a colorful holographic light guide with a micro LED display and is designed to be worn as traditional eyeglasses with a head-up display. It has several use cases and supports translation, photos, and music playback.

TCL also announced the NXTWEAR S wearable display glasses which will debut in the US. It has a large display with new generation dual 1080P Micro OLED displays. According to the company, the new glasses offer a “cinematic audiovisual experience anytime, anywhere.”

The company also showed off a new virtual reality concept called NXTWEAR V. The device features a TCL CSOT display that delivers true-to-life colors and a 108-degree field of view with a 1512PPI pixel density. The new glasses promise better image quality and overall comfort.

TCL also revealed a new premium soundbar developed to complement its new Q-series and S-series 2023 TV lineup. The soundbar lineup includes three new S-series and two new Q-series products. S series products: 2.1, 3.1 and 5.1 channel soundbars with a sleek new design. It also features new room configuration setups and all new models come with features such as DTS Virtual:X for an enhanced cinematic experience. These devices also support Dolby audio, wireless connectivity, and the ability to add rear speakers. Plus, it supports Roku TV Ready for easy setup.

The two new Q-series soundbars are aimed at a more premium experience, offering 3.1 and 5.1 channel audio for enhanced audio quality. The new lineup supports wireless subwoofers, separate tweeters, 420+ watts, and DTS Virtual:X and Dolby Audio. Users can also expect the usual automatic room calibration, the ability to add rear speakers, and a sleek new modern look.
