All About Photo Awards – The Mind’s Eye 2023 competition winners have been announced, showcasing the incredible talent of photographers around the world.
All About Photo started as an online magazine intended to provide a platform for photographers to publish and get their work recognized. Now in its eighth year, The Mind’s Eye competition invites amateur and professional photographers from 18 countries on 5 continents to share their talents and unique perspectives in hopes of being named the next Photographer of the Year I have provided a method.
Tony Law
An eight-person jury of world-renowned photographers, editors and curators narrowed thousands of submissions to 39 winners. The winning photo was selected for its dynamic composition.
All About Photo said in announcing the winners: “Jurors seem to have gravitated toward lighter imagery. Overall, this year’s selections seem to be less emotional and more focused on strong aesthetics.”
Priyo Widyant
The winning shot was fired by Priyo Widyant of Indonesia. Entitled “The Winning Shoot,” this nearly symmetrical composition captures the Indonesian National Wheelchair Basketball Team in the middle of a hard-fought game just before the decisive shot is taken.
Second place went to Liang Haikun from China, and the striking image at the beginning of this article, “Destroy Together,” shows fireworks exploding during the Chinese New Year. As the oldest and most important festival in China, the Spring Festival marks the new year of the lunar calendar. Fireworks are set off to ward off evil spirits.
Raul Cacho Deres
Other entries featured similarly strong compositions, from captivating portraits of everyday life to the energy of Moroccan equestrian traditions to celebrations of dogs and other animals.
