XLR or USB, your choice
Neoseeker recently tried the Maono PD400X mic and the separately sold BA90 boom arm if you don’t want to use the desk stand that comes with the mic. The Maono PD400X offers both XLR for connecting to professional equipment and USB-C for just connecting to a PC. Also at the bottom of the mic he has three buttons that allow you to switch between Flat, High Pass Filter, Presence Boost, or High Pass and Presence Boost together.
The mic works without software, but installing Maono Link is also an option. If you have multiple Maono devices, you can swap between Maono devices and update their firmware. There are many advanced controls such as compressor, EQ, distance toggle, just to name a few.
The BA90 boom arm costs between $70 and $80 and offers far better sound isolation than a desk stand. It’s also easier to set up in a less obtrusive location than a traditional mic stand. Neoseeker was impressed with both products. A full review will let you know if they live up to your standards.
