DJI has announced a new addition to its Mavic 3 camera drone series. The Mavic 3 Pro features the world’s first triple camera system consisting of Hasselblad main and his two telephoto modules.

At the chin position of the previous gimbal camera system is a 20-megapixel Four Thirds Hasselblad CMOS camera from previous iterations, serving as the wide-angle main camera with a focal length of 24 mm (equivalent) and a variable F2.8. -F11 aperture.
It supports 12-bit RAW photo capture with up to 12.8 stops of native dynamic range and includes Hasselblad’s Natural Color Solution, which “exactly restores colors as perceived by the human eye.” For video, the main camera can capture 5.1K video at 50 frames per second, or DCI 4K at 120 fps. There is a 10-bit D-Log M color mode for footage with up to 1 billion colors.

Above the main camera in the array, the medium-telephoto unit features a 48-megapixel 1/1.3-inch CMOS image sensor with a focal length of 70 mm (equivalent), a fixed aperture of F2.8, and a field of view of 30 degrees. 3x optical zoom, 4K video 60fps, D-Log M color compatible.
This telephoto camera features a 12-megapixel 1/2-inch CMOS sensor, 166 mm focal length (equivalent), F3.4 fixed aperture, and 15-degree field of view. It boasts a 7x optical zoom with 28x potential thanks to its hybrid optical/digital chop, and you can also get 4K/60fps video.
A Pro Cine version is also available for professionals who want more in the video department, with all three camera modules supporting Apple ProRes 422 HQ, ProRes 422, and ProRes 422 LT encoding. This flavor also comes with an internal 1 TB SSD and a 10 Gbps data cable for fast file transfers.
The Mavic 3 Pro itself has a maximum flight time of 43 minutes on a single charge, which is slightly shorter than other Mavic 3 family members, and eight wide-angle vision sensors monitor (and avoid) obstacles in all directions. To do. It uses DJI’s O3+ transmission system to deliver a 1080p video live feed at 60 fps up to 15 km (9.3 miles) away.

The Hasselblad and mid-telephoto cameras support subject tracking, and the new Mavic can be commanded to fly in a variety of creative ways (such as raising and orbiting subjects) to create 100 MP panoramic photos.
Pilots can use cruise control to fly the Pro in any direction without tapping the joystick. This should give you smoother footage on long range missions. The drone can also automatically plan a route that follows pre-set waypoints, allowing it to repeat the route precisely if necessary and safely return to its starting point.
The new Mavic automatically builds cinematic sequences and can even add a soundtrack. And if you want to take control of content creation, you can wirelessly transfer images and videos to your smartphone for mobile editing (DJI recommends his LightCut app). Up to 80 MB/s over Wi-Fi 6 without the need to connect to the included remote control.
