Quntis Monitor Light Bar PRO+ Review

Many desk lights and lamps brighten up a space, but leave a terrible glare on computer screens. The Quuntis Monitor Light Bar PRO+ not only directs light to your work area, but also cuts down on glare. Just attach it to your monitor and you’re good to go. How well does it live up to its promises? I had the chance to find out recently.

Feature overview

The Quntis Monitor Light Bar PRO+ is not your typical desk lamp. Instead, this light bar sits above your monitor and illuminates only your work area, including your monitor, keyboard, and mouse. From 3,000K to 6,500K, you can adjust the color temperature to suit your needs. Thanks to a color rendering index (CRI) of 95, colors on your screen look true to themselves.

Qutis Monitor Light Bar Pro Review Summary 2

In addition to being able to manually adjust the color temperature, you can also set it to automatically adjust based on the ambient light. This will give you the best light at any given point.

Designed to fit most monitors, including curved and irregularly shaped monitors. Any monitor between 0.12″ and 2.36″ thick should fit. You can add the included spacing bar for thin monitors. The clip is spring-loaded and opens wide to accommodate thick monitors.

Qutis Monitor Light Bar Pro Weighted

There is a weighted clip on the back to keep the lightbar from tilting forward. If the hinge is too loose or wiggles, you can use the included hex wrench to adjust the tightness.

A 45 degree asymmetric optical design focuses light where you need it most. But you can tweak it a bit if you want.

This light has three great features that make it perfect for your computer. Anti-glare, anti-flicker, anti-blue light. There’s also a two-hour auto-off timer that reminds you to take a break and rest your eyes.

Simply tap the cylindrical remote control to turn the light on/off or rotate it to adjust the temperature. This means you don’t have to touch the light bar itself for these simple changes.

The Quuntis Monitor Light Bar PRO+ comes in a neat package and includes:

  • 20 inch wide light bar
  • remote control with battery
  • USB cable (USB-A to USB-C)
  • hex key
  • 2 extra spacers (1 already installed)
  • user manual

User manual is not the clearest. Instructions on how to tighten the screws and adjust the size are much better on Amazon’s product listing.

set up

The first step is to check the thickness of your monitor. Mine is pretty thin, so I had to add a larger spacer block to get the Quntis Monitor Light Bar PRO+ to fit snugly. If you have a thick monitor, hold the center of the light firmly and pull the weighted part back to open the spring clip.

If the hinge feels loose, it’s easy to tighten the screw. Remove the cover from the screw, tighten the screw using the correct hex wrench, then replace the cover.

Then slide the light to the top of the monitor. The weight should be perfectly balanced with the light so that it does not tilt forward. If you need to adjust the angle of the light bar itself, it’s a good idea to hold a weight so it doesn’t pull against the monitor.

Qutis Monitor Light Bar Pro USB

Then I had to connect the USB cable to my computer. It’s a surprisingly long cable, so having a desktop tower under your desk shouldn’t be too much of a hassle.

Finally put the batteries in the remote. The door of the battery compartment is attached with a magnet. Simply push the indentation open, align and put it back together.

A quick tap on the top of the remote turned the light bar on instantly.

light adjustment

You couldn’t ask for a more easily adjustable light. Instead of fiddling with the light bar itself, the Quntis Monitor Light Bar PRO+ features the easiest-to-use remote control ever. Single tap to turn on/off. Quick double tap to turn on/off auto exposure mode, press and hold for 3-5 seconds to turn on 2 hour auto off timer.

Rotate the top of the remote control to adjust the color temperature. It moves smoothly, so you don’t have to put any effort into it.

Want to adjust the brightness? Rotate the base (or housing) of the remote control. It’s that simple.

I personally love that the remote doesn’t look like a standard remote. Less than 3 inches wide, it looks like a black cylinder that easily matches most office décor. Tuck it under your monitor or lay it on its side for quick adjustments without looking out of place.

Using Qutis Monitor Light Bar Pro

I couldn’t be more pleased with the performance of this lightbar throughout my testing. The monitor is easier to see with the light bar than with an overhead light or desk lamp.

I also noticed that my eyes were less tired than usual. It’s a nice change of pace, and I was surprised that just changing the light source could have such a pronounced effect.

final thoughts

Qutis Monitor Light Bar Pro Final

The Quntis Monitor Light Bar PRO+ exceeded my expectations. At first I was worried that it would be too heavy (about 2.5 lbs), but it installed easily and didn’t bother me at all with the monitor. To do. All in all, a great light that can improve the way you see your monitor and work space.

If you want to try the Quntis Monitor Light Bar PRO+ for yourself, you can purchase it for $69.99.
