Future pressure?
As 2022 drew to a close, I tried to hold back my expectations. If even Instacart wasn’t ready to go public yet, it should have geared up for a continued shortage of tech IPOs in Q1 or Q1. Half of 2023.
But seed-stage venture capital activity was one of the things that made me feel pretty optimistic heading into the new year. However, angel and seed-stage investment activity appeared fairly stable, although post-Series A deal numbers and volumes were affected.
