The Nvidia RTX 4090 makes me laugh.
Part of that is due to its size. If a standalone GPU is as big as a modern video game console (with a total capacity roughly the same as the Xbox Series S and more than twice the size of the Nintendo Switch as he is), you can’t help but laugh in disbelief. None of his Nvidia’s top-of-the-line ‘reference’ GPUs, previously branded as ‘Titan’ models, are this massive, and beyond Nvidia’s ‘Founders Edition’ third party his partner’s Things get even more ridiculous when you check the AIB option. (We haven’t tested models other than the 4090 FE yet.)

But after figuring out how to safely mount and power up the RTX 4090, the laughter is decidedly different.you are going to laugh consistently WhenNo soRTX 4090, either joyful or excited disbelief.
The RTX 4090 is the biggest sacred jump in GPU performance compared to its contemporaries in recent history. It definitely beats the Nvidia 1000 series Titan X in that regard. Consider today’s PC gaming workloads with “future-proof” overkill settings. Now imagine the RTX 4090 masquerading as a Grave Digger and crushing those tests like an abandoned car at a monster truck rally.

You don’t imagine things This is a slightly concave curve on each edge. If you already have an ATX 3.0 compliant power supply, you can expect a cleaner connection between the 4090 and your PC’s power supply. Otherwise…

… you can use this adapter to connect your 4090 to a legacy PSU. This cable comes with the 4090 by default, with a recommended power of 450 W or higher in the box.

Spoiler alert: you only need to connect 3 of these to run your GPU. But the fourth is… for a reason.
We’d expect to see results like this for a $1,599+ GPU, but remember that Nvidia’s Titan-like RTX 3090 was a disappointment in terms of price versus performance compared to the RTX 3080 at launch. Please give me. What’s more, the RTX 3090 only ended up inflated in price due to a severe shortage of GPUs. (The email I sent to some desperate friends in the Dark Ages was, “If you have to spend more than his $1,000 on a new GPU, consider getting his 3090 with MSRP.” was a thing.)
Even if you’re considering the 4090 at its ridiculous price, you at least get what you pay for (despite the AIB markup). The RTX 4090 is just as impressive as its hefty price tag. At least until AMD’s competitors catch up. But this review is more about what the ‘Ada Lovelace’ generation of Nvidia GPUs will finally offer in the lower price tier, especially the bold new flavor of his Nvidia’s ‘DLSS’ system, and the 4090’s incredible success coming next. It is also for those who want to know if they reach the stage of the rest of us. For those customers, expecting higher performance and fair and realistic pricing is no laughing matter.
